The corona infection rate continues to rise in Saxony and it is still above the national average.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day incidence on Saturday was 80.8.
On Friday the value was 77.8 and on Thursday 74.0.
It indicates how many new infections per 100,000 inhabitants were reported within a week.
Dresden - Nationwide, the incidence on Saturday was 64.4.
The district of Central Saxony currently has the highest incidence in Saxony.
With a value of 167.2, it is one of the ten most severely affected regions in Germany.
The Ore Mountains (131.1) and the Bautzen district (105.4) also showed three-digit values on Saturday.
According to the RKI, a new death was also reported.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 10,234 corona patients have died in Saxony.
