Kempten - From October 11th, only exceptional groups can be tested in the municipal test centers of the Oberallgäu district and the city of Kempten
In the two municipal test centers set up in Sonthofen and Kempten, free tests will continue to be offered - but only for a very limited group of people.
This includes, for example, people who demonstrably cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons as well as pregnant women and children who have not yet reached the age of 12 at the time of the test.
Students will also be tested free of charge until November 30th, young people who have not yet reached the age of 18 until December 31st.
In addition, the free offer is also available for employees and visitors to care facilities and facilities for people with disabilities, provided that the respective facility itself does not offer any tests.
Belonging to an exceptional group must be proven according to the press release of the Oberallgäu district office.
Free tests are still available for people who have been asked to test by the health department, such as contact persons or people who have to have PCR confirmatory tests carried out.
All other people can be tested for a fee at private providers or in pharmacies.
Neither PCR nor rapid tests will be possible in the municipal test centers.
