Peter Altmaier and Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer are renouncing their parliamentary mandates, as the Saarland Prime Minister announced.
Berlin - Federal Economics Minister Peter Altmaier and Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (both CDU) are renouncing their Bundestag mandates.
The Saarland Prime Minister and CDU state chairman Tobias Hans announced on Saturday in Saarbrücken.
The two ministers are clearing the way for Nadine Schön and Markus Uhl, who will then join the Bundestag as successors from the CDU state list.
With their move, they wanted to enable a generation change in the parliamentary group, said the two politicians from Saarland on Saturday in Saarbrücken.
With their waiver, they enable two younger CDU members to enter the Bundestag.
