Flood investigation committee in NRW starts work

Almost three months after the flood of the century, the investigative committee of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament started its work on Friday. To come to terms with the flood disaster with 49 deaths, the committee should summon weather expert Jörg Kachelmann, among others, at the request of the opposition groups SPD and Greens. Düsseldorf - The committee is to investigate possible omissions, omissions or misjudgments by the NRW state government and subordinate authorities in connection with the devastating flood in mid-July.
