Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced his resignation tonight (Saturday), following investigations against him on suspicion of corruption.

Kurtz said in a statement to the media that he is proposing Foreign Minister Alexander Schellenberg as his successor.

Correz intends to remain the leader of his Conservative party and take over as leader of parliament.
