A Lebanese naval forces patrol seized a boat with 13 people on board, who were trying to escape illegally in northern Lebanon.
The Directorate of Guidance at the Lebanese Army Command said in a statement, "The boat was heading to Cyprus, with 12 people of Syrian nationality and one Lebanese on board, and lost contact with them about four days ago after the boat strayed five kilometers from the island of rabbits."
The statement indicated that they were arrested and investigations were launched under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
