Grevesmühlen / Lübeck - The police in Grevesmühlen (Northwest Mecklenburg) caught two jewelry robbers in the act thanks to a notice from residents.
As a police spokesman announced on Friday, the duo from neighboring Schleswig-Holstein was arrested at night with their booty on the property of the jewelry store.
The two 45 and 35-year-old men from the Lübeck region are already known to the police for other crimes.

Drunk and with a passenger with a beer crate behind him, a 17-year-old moped driver crashed into a car and was seriously injured.

The young people had carried the crate of beer on the passenger's lap on Friday evening when, according to the police, they were overlooked by the driver while turning.

The attentive witness alerted the police.
The officers found the surprised intruders who had a variety of rings, watches, chains and earrings with them in backpacks and trouser pockets.
The value of the loot and the damage in the store are estimated at a five-figure sum.
The public prosecutor applied for arrest warrants for the two relevant criminal suspects on Friday.
They are accused of theft with weapons.
The men also had an irritant spray device with them.
