Police and customs have stopped a truck with around 120 kilograms of marijuana on board in the Groß-Gerau district in Hesse. Four suspects were arrested. The officials found the drugs in a double roof structure, said public prosecutor and police in Kaiserslautern on Friday. Groß-Gerau / Kaiserslautern - Three men aged 25 to 34 were on the way with the truck, they were arrested.

Another 23-year-old suspect was caught by the officials in Alzey in Rhineland-Palatinate.

A judge has issued arrest warrants against a man from Reinbek in the Stormarn district and an alleged accomplice who are said to have smuggled narcotics on a large scale from Spain to Germany.

The Lübeck public prosecutor's office had submitted the application.

The 26-year-old alleged accomplice was arrested in Hamburg, the prosecution announced on Friday.

In a raid on suspected members of a drug gang, the police in Duisburg seized a total of 100 kilograms of narcotics, presumably marijuana.

Five men (23, 29, 36, 40, 53 years old) and one woman (21) were in custody, as the public prosecutor in Essen announced on Monday.

Two other suspects were later released.

During house searches in Alzey and Mainz, the investigators found another ten kilograms of hashish, around three kilograms of amphetamine, several grams of cocaine and marijuana.

A pump gun, live pistol, ammunition, over 160,000 euros in cash and two cars were also confiscated.

The quartet now has to answer for several crimes under the Narcotics Act.

All those arrested are in custody and have not yet commented on the allegations.
