New leadership for the young Greens: Sarah-Lee Heinrich and Timon Dzienus are the new federal spokesmen for the Green Youth.
The more than 600 participants at the federal congress of the Green Youth Organization on Saturday in Erfurt elected the 20-year-old social science student Heinrich with 93.84 percent of the votes.
Heinrich had no opponents.
The 25-year-old political science student Dzienus, who prevailed against two other candidates, received 62.09 percent of the vote.

In her application speech, Heinrich placed the focus on social issues.
“Many people are afraid that climate protection means that they will be worse off.
I can understand that, because they too know how holey our welfare state is and that as soon as they become unemployed they are no longer worth anything in this society. "
Too few training places, hardly any diversity
She criticized a lack of apprenticeships, poorly paid part-time jobs for students and disadvantages for people with a migration background.
"We are a young generation who are on the streets because politics is hitting our future against the wall," said Heinrich.
These injustices must be put to an end.
"I find it so perfidious: some go shopping for yachts, others go under in rubber dinghies."
Timon Dzienus
Dzienus warned against anti-Semitism and right-wing extremism and advocated a more liberal refugee policy.
He remembered the migrants who perished in the Mediterranean on their way to Europe.
"I find it so perfidious: some go shopping for yachts, others go under in rubber dinghies." He demanded free buses and trains and praised the referendum for the expropriation of housing associations in Berlin as a model.
"The fucking rents have to go down!"
Dzienus opposed too many concessions in the exploratory talks between the Greens and the SPD and FDP: "We will not sell the fight for a fairer world for smoking weed, dear FDP."
The Green Youth is close to the left wing of the party and has more than 18,000 members.
Of the 118 Green MPs in the newly elected Bundestag, 27 have run as representatives of the youth organization.
