Another alleged terrorist attack occurred in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.
Several people were killed and others injured in an explosion in a mosque in Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan.
This was announced by a spokesman for the militant Islamist Taliban, Jawad Sargar.
An exact number of victims and further details about the incident are not yet available, said Sargar.
Since the Taliban came to power in mid-August, the Islamic State (IS) terrorist militia in particular had increasingly attacked Shiite targets in Afghanistan.
Afghan journalist Saki Darjabi wrote on Twitter that unconfirmed reports indicate that it was an attack by a suicide bomber.
A video shared on social media shows men and women screaming down a street after the alleged explosion.
Local media reported that it was a Shiite mosque.
So far, no one has confessed to the attack.
