First the interim solution, then the main project: so that the Agatharied hospital can get its urgently needed parking garage for 990 vehicles, a replacement must first be created for the parking lot with space for around 250 cars, which is being built over.
The new interim parking lot with a total of 220 parking spaces will be created on the adjacent flower field.
Work on this has now started.
In addition to the 220 parking spaces, there are 33 parking spaces above the existing parking lot.
This will replace the parking spaces that will be built over for the construction of the parking garage for the construction period without any losses.

To ensure this, the area that previously served as a storage area for gravel and snow is used.
If everything goes according to plan, the interim parking lot will be ready for use in spring 2022 - depending on the weather.
Only then can the construction of the parking garage start, which should be completed in autumn 2023.
According to the district office, the costs can only be calculated after the tender has been issued.
Around 1700 people are employed in the hospital.
