The Jerusalem District Court yesterday (Thursday) accepted the appeal filed by attorney Yaakov Wallace, a lawyer for the mother suspected of starving her one-year-old and three-month-old daughter, and ordered her released under house arrest.
The mother, who lives in the Judea and Samaria area, was arrested following a report by Ichilov Hospital after the suspicion arose that she had harmed her hospitalized daughter.
Documentation from security cameras showed the mother in two cases behaving suspiciously around her bed.
The mother's lawyer said: "A few hours after her arrest, the district court ordered her release. My client is a dedicated and normative mother who denies what is attributed to her, she gave her version and cooperates with investigators. We welcome the court's decision to release her on parole, There was a basis for ordering her arrest. "
