Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to intervene immediately to stop the continuous violations of the Palestinian political, cultural, historical, legal and religious rights in occupied Jerusalem.
The ministry considered, in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the occupation’s attempts to attack the “Ma’man Allah” cemetery in the city of Jerusalem are a flagrant violation of international laws and norms, and part of the occupation’s open war against the holy city with the aim of changing its cultural landmarks and Arab Palestinian identity.
The ministry indicated that this attack on a historic Islamic cemetery is added to the record of violations by the occupation authorities of Palestinian political, historical and cultural rights since 1948 in an attempt to erase the traces of this historical landmark from existence and memory by exhuming its graves and establishing settlement units on it.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry stressed that no one has the right to attack the Palestinian people and their land and violate the sanctity of Christian and Islamic sanctities, calling on the relevant international organizations to condemn and stop such violations.
