The branch of the Foundation for Seed Propagation in Daraa has developed its plan for the new season, which includes the production of 16 thousand tons of wheat seed and a thousand tons of barley seed.
The director of the branch, Ghazi Al-Nasif, stated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the branch will distribute to the farmers who wish to contract the appropriate seeds to implement the established plan in the required form, indicating that the contracting mechanism includes submitting a contract request from the farmer on which the area to be originally planted and the area to which it belongs to be given the necessary seeds after the study. And check the possibility of delivery to the branch.
Al-Nassif confirmed that the branch has sufficient funds and is ready to distribute sterilized and sifted seeds to farmers to cover their needs in the new agricultural season 2021-2022.
The branch exceeded its plan last season, which amounted to a production of 16,000 tons, by receiving 19,500 tons of wheat seed.
