Post-Corona Syndrome in Adolescents and Children:
An AMN report reveals today (Sunday) that during the fourth wave, dozens of children suffering from PIMS syndrome were hospitalized across the country, which is a rare complication of the virus.
Since the outbreak of the plague in Israel, more than a hundred children have suffered from the syndrome.
Just last Friday, a 16-year-old boy from Jaljulia died of the syndrome, without any background diseases but not vaccinated.
The syndrome occurs about 6-2 weeks after the acute illness (which is often asymptomatic and is only discovered retrospectively through serological tests in children with the syndrome).
The syndrome is characterized by high fever and signs of insufficiency of various organs that can also appear as a turbulent and life-threatening disease.
According to an estimate by the American Center for Disease Control (CDC), the prevalence of the phenomenon is about 3,200: 1 verified children and adolescents.
In light of this, the CDC recommends immunization against the corona virus also to reduce the risk of developing the syndrome.
At the same time, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) equivalent to the US FDA approved last week the administration of the third dose of the Pfizer coronary virus vaccine, aged 18 and over, and at least 6 months after receiving the second dose of the vaccine.
In the United States, where Pfizer's third vaccine dose was recently approved, in fact, for a very wide audience over the age of 18, more than 6.5 million people have been vaccinated with the actual booster dose.
Section in the highest number of all impulse doses given so far in Israel.
It should be noted that at present, no unusual safety reports are known about the urge from the US health authorities.
