This Saturday at least 19 people were rescued after the sinking of a boat near the coast of Boca de Yuma, in the eastern Dominican Republic, the Navy reported on its Facebook account.
The authorities indicated that the search and rescue operation for more people continues, but did not specify how many more people are missing.
The 19 rescued were transferred to the Institution's Detachment in Boca de Yuma and are receiving care.
