In Berlin, some new corona rules came into force on Sunday.
At major events, for example, there are no longer any upper limits for the number of visitors if all participants have been vaccinated against Corona or have recovered (2G).
So far, there was an upper limit of 25,000 people.
According to the new rules, for example, the Olympic Stadium could be completely filled again.
Berlin - It has been the case for some time now that operators of restaurants or event organizers, for example, can decide for themselves whether they allow access to their interiors for vaccinated, convalescent and tested people (3G) or only for vaccinated and convalescent people (2G).
In the case of 2G, there is no mask requirement.

2G rule for other areas in Lower Saxony
The so-called 2G rule should be able to be used in more areas in Lower Saxony in the future - for example in gastronomy, culture, events or sports.
This was announced by Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD) on Tuesday in the state parliament in Hanover.
There the mask requirement and keeping your distance should then be omitted.

This 2G option will now also open to hotels, other accommodation providers and holiday apartments, as well as museums, galleries and memorials, libraries and archives.
In contrast, so-called dance pleasures in closed rooms may only be opened to the public under 2G conditions.
This applies to clubs, for example.
Exclusively 2G also applies to infusions in saunas or thermal baths as well as to the opening of steam baths.
There is another innovation with the exceptions relating to access to 2G offers.
So far, these have only applied to children under the age of twelve, as there is no vaccination option for them yet.
Since Sunday, people who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons have been able to take part in the 2G offers.
A medical certificate and a negative PCR test are required for this.
As a rule, the costs for the test must be borne by yourself.
Only people who receive state benefits such as social assistance or Hartz IV do not pay themselves.
According to the new regulation, staff at 2G events must also be vaccinated or recovered if they come into direct contact with customers.
Unvaccinated employees can also be used at 2G events without customer contact.
