From Monday, the corona tests will be chargeable.

Some operators of test stations draw their conclusions - and close the centers.

In the northern district there are only a few contact points for a quick test.

Wolfratshausen - take off your mask, take a deep breath, put your head back and put the stick in: Corona rapid tests were never pleasant, but at least uncomplicated - and above all free of charge.

That will change from Monday.

There are fewer and fewer contact points for a test - and citizens now have to pay for them themselves.

Corona tests will cost money in the future: Some test stations are closing

At the peak of the corona pandemic, the voluntary initiative led by the DLRG in Wolfratshausen carried out more than 230 tests in 90 minutes. 14 helpers worked at the same time in order to be able to take the huge need for smears. This will end on Monday: The DLRG and the many participating organizations are closing their test center in Loisachstadt after ten months of continuous operation. The reason is the new billing for the corona rapid tests, which are no longer paid for by the federal government. "The change would increase the effort for the operation of the test station again", write the board members of the DLRG, Matthias Feichtbauer and Robert Klingel in a press release. "This can no longer be done with purely voluntary helpers and voluntary structures."that we were able to make a contribution to overcoming the pandemic in Wolfratshausen ”, emphasize the two chairmen. After about 18,000 swabs taken free of charge, the clubs are now devoting themselves to other tasks.

Corona: Unvaccinated people need tests, but they will cost money in the future

The spicy thing about the new cost regulation is the fact that unvaccinated people have to show a negative test result in some facilities in order to gain access.

However, the possibilities of having a smear taken are becoming fewer and fewer.

Because shortly after the DLRG, the Isar pharmacy in Loisachstadt announced that it would discontinue the test offer.

According to operator Elvine Engelhardt, the reason is the spatial situation: “The room that we used for the tests is no longer available to us.” From next Monday, the test station will end work.

And the lights of the test station in her Paracelsus pharmacy in Geretsried will also go out in a week.

A large station in Geretsried was closed a few weeks ago: The BRK had run a test center on Sudetenstrasse, but had to close it again because the owner needed the premises.

An Aldi store is to open here.

Rapid tests are chargeable - and many test stations are closed

The company excura maintained its position in the largest city in the district. Managing director Alexandra Dieterich emphasizes: “We'll continue”, initially with the same opening times. At the Franco Fresco sales house on Böhmerwaldstrasse, her colleagues continue to cut corners. “We'll have to wait and see how demand develops,” says Dieterich. On the one hand, it is possible that fewer people will come because the tests are no longer free - a smear test in Geretsried will cost 18 euros in the future. On the other hand, the series of closings of other offers could draw more people to her. “The demand has been there lately and it has remained quite stable,” says Dieterich.

Pharmacy operator Engelhardt fears that this will not change.

“Actually, we have too few stations,” she says.

In the northern district there is “no contact point at all that is always available,” she complains.

There are also almost no longer any temporary offers.

In Wolfratshausen, tests could still be carried out in the Jungbrunnen cosmetic studio on a few days - otherwise there would be no more stations.

“People don't know where to go now,” says Engelhardt, a pharmacist.

The Jungbrunnen owner Miriam Altinisik did not want to speak to our newspaper.
