Fischerstüberl Seehausen: "A feeling of powerlessness"

The latest resolution of the municipal council has not changed this for the time being.

Seehausen

- Michaela and Bernhard Zöttl are waiting. And wait and wait and wait. “We don't have any more left,” says the boss of a large Munich bakeries chain, who bought the Fischerstüberl in Seehausen together with her husband in 2019. They want to build a café and six holiday apartments there. A major renovation and a new building are planned. The problem: nothing has happened so far. There is still no building permit from the district office. Even a corresponding development plan approved by the Seehausen municipality has so far not changed anything.

"It's a bit sobering," says Michaela Zöttl. After all, the district office had always used the missing development plan as an argument for why the authority had not yet granted its place (we reported). When the local council decided on the plan last Thursday, Mayor Markus Hörmann (CSU) also thought that the project, which is also interesting for the site, was finally moving. "I hope the clients can finally get started," he emphasized. The district office has not yet responded. Authorities spokesman Wolfgang Rotzsche only said the following when asked by the daily newspaper: “The most recent documents have only recently been received. The district office will make a final assessment of the application in a timely manner. "

Understandably not a satisfactory statement for Michaela and Bernhard Zöttl.

Time is of the essence now.

“We actually wanted to start work in September at the latest,” explains Joachim Gießler.

The head of the responsible planning office fears that not much will happen before winter.

He still hopes to be able to erect the two roof trusses by then.

He would also like to have the new windows installed by the first snow.

Only then can the interior renovation work properly.

There is plenty to do

“And there is more than enough to do”, Gießler explains. The latest structural calculations have shown that some new beams have to be attached. Likewise, floors and ceilings are to be torn out. “It's an old house, things have changed over and over again,” says the Seehauser. “Basically we are talking about a complete renovation.” And this doesn’t happen overnight. For Gießler, one thing is certain: "If we don't start by mid-October, the café will hardly be able to open by Easter 2022."

Michaela Zöttl does not want to say goodbye to this plan for the time being.

She still hopes that the approval of the district office will arrive in the coming days.

She is aware that she cannot influence it herself.

"Even if I call there every day, I will not speed up the process." Your planner Joachim Gießler expresses the whole thing a bit more drastically: "I feel a feeling of powerlessness."

But be that as it may.

Ultimately, only one thing helps those involved in this case.

And wait, wait - and wait again.
