A breast health care unit was opened in Al-Hamdaniya Health Center in Aleppo, which includes a mammography machine for early detection of breast cancer, serving more than 200,000 residents of Al-Hamdaniya neighborhoods.
Dr. Marwa Maznouk, head of the Reproductive Health Program at the Aleppo Health Directorate, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the center comes as a continuation of the medical services that provide early detection of breast cancer in the new al-Shahba neighborhoods, Ibn Rushd Hospital and the Governmental Maternity Hospital, calling on women to review these centers that operate throughout the year for a procedure. Free medical examinations, especially for those over the age of 45, where patients who appear to have the disease are referred to hospitals for the necessary surgical procedure and psychological support.
Today, the Ministry of Health launched the second national vaccination campaign for the year 2021 against polio, targeting children from one day to five years of age, regardless of previous vaccinations, through health centers and mobile teams in all Syrian governorates.
