The group does not intend to give up following the official announcement issued by the police about the Doha events: "A complaint will be filed to examine the trending conduct of the police spokeswoman, who came to cover up the awful helplessness and blatant disregard of the police forces at Sakhnin Stadium."

Maccabi Netanya decided this morning (Sunday) to turn to DIP, following the official announcement issued by the police, after the team's away game in Sakhnin, in which it accused Maccabi Netanya fans of a confrontation in Doha and began throwing stones at Bnei Sakhnin fans.

In response, the team clarified this morning: "The Maccabi Netanya club expresses deep disappointment with the conduct of the Israel Police spokesperson regarding the events of the game against Bnei Sakhnin last Saturday.

"Throughout the game, there were verbal and physical incidents of violence against Maccabi Netanya's representatives in the various stands, violence that culminated at the end of the game, when Bnei Sakhnin fans threw everything near the lawn and stones at Maccabi Netanya fans who were besieged by the event manager and without police intervention. The few who were in the stadium area.

"At the beginning of the week, the club will file a complaint to DIP to examine the trending conduct of the police spokeswoman who came to cover up the awful incompetence and blatant disregard of the police forces in the stadium after difficult events and especially sweeping abandonment and failure to take responsibility for the safety of Maccabi Netanya fans

As law-abiding citizens who adhere to democracy, we hope that the publications and leaks of police spokespersons come from a local rather than a national or political level. "
