THW Kiel draws in the top game against Füchse

Handball record champions THW Kiel missed the top of the Bundesliga table.

The North Germans separated from the Füchsen Berlin on Sunday with 28:28 (14:14) and thus remain second in front of the capital city.

Both teams are still undefeated this season.

"That was very, very exhausting," said Füchse coach Jaron Siewert about the intense game.

Berlin - For Schleswig-Holstein, despite the point loss, the strong series against the Berliners continues.

In the past ten years they have only lost one of 27 competitive games against the capital city.

In the fast-paced and worth seeing game in front of 3600 spectators in the Max-Schmeling-Halle, both teams played at eye level.

Handball record champion THW Kiel has booked a success at the beginning of the Champions League.

On Wednesday the Kiel won their first group game against the Belarusian champions HC Brest with 33:30 (18:15).

Niclas Ekberg was the best thrower of the "Zebras" with eleven goals.

A trio was successful six times each for the hosts.

Füchse Berlin easily reach the group stage of the EL

The Füchse Berlin have easily reached the group stage of the European League.

On Tuesday, Berlin won the second leg of the second qualifying round against the Polish representative AS Azoty-Pulawy SA with 33:29 (13:16).

The Berlin team had already clearly won the first leg 32:24.

The best Berlin throwers in front of 2422 spectators in the Max-Schmeling-Halle were Lasse Andersson with eight and Fabian Wiede with seven goals.

The Kielers had a disadvantage in the goalkeeper position.

Füchse goalkeeper Dejan Milosavljev parried twice as many throws as his counterpart Niklas Landin, who this time also slipped a durable ball.
