Ten years after leaving the popular TV series "Law & Order", Christopher Maloney returns as the tough police detective Elliott Stabller in a new spin-off series created especially for him - "Law & Order: Organized Crime".
In the series (now available for viewing on HOT and yes), Stibler returned to the New York Police Department ten years after retiring and being appointed as a contact person in Rome by law enforcement agencies. The detective's comeback began in the previous season of "Law & Order: Special Section," in which his wife was killed by mobsters, and he is now determined to bring her killers to justice, joining the Department of Organized Crime. During the episodes, the detective tries to rebuild his life, and heads a new task force designed to persecute and eradicate the organized crime organizations operating in New York. The series also stars the reggae Marishka as detective Olivia Benson ("ER"), Dylan McDermott ("American Horror") and Daniel Mona Troit ("The Sheriff").
"Organized Crime" is a sixth series of Law & Order, launched in 1990 with the original series running for 20 seasons until 2010. Last week, NBC announced its surprise decision to return it to the screen for the 21st season, more than a decade after it dropped. This coincides with the success of "Law and Order: A Special Section" which began its 23rd season. The entire corporation is responsible for the esteemed TV creator Dick Wolf, who last year signed a huge talent deal valued at nearly a billion dollars with Universal-NBC, in favor of developing new content and expanding its two successful TV brands, "Law & Order" and "Chicago". CBS airs the "FBI" he created, which has already won two spin-off series.
The highlight this time, as mentioned, is the return of the 60-year-old hotelier, one of the favorite heroes of Wolf's series. Meloney, who started out as a construction worker and club security guard before moving on to the game, made a breakthrough when he played inmate Chris Keller in "Oz" from HBO. He was later cast in "Law & Order" as Stibler, a role for which he was nominated for Emmy in 2006. For the past decade he has starred in series such as "The Story of a Slave," "Pose" and "Whip," and has now returned to the role identified with him of all. During the promotion of the series was defined by US magazines as a sex symbol.
"I've been playing the character intermittently for so long that I actually grew up with her," Maloney said in an interview to promote the series. "I didn't look back, I had 12 excellent years in the series that I mostly enjoyed, but I was ready to move on to new roles and challenges, and I wanted to travel the world."

At the time, Meloni's departure after 12 seasons was abrupt, and rumors circulated about failed contract renewal negotiations and rivalry with the reggae leading the series.
"From the beginning we understood that we both have a dominant personality. In 80 percent of the time we managed to dance together, but in the other 20 percent we did not get along," he admitted, "at the base we understand each other. "Adam, we have grown up and become parents. Today she is a positive person who I enjoy being by his side, loyal, inclusive and hardworking, and has been at the head of the series for 23 years. She deserves salute."
As for the fans' long-standing wish for the day when Stibler and Benson become a romantic couple, Maloney replied: "There is a complex relationship between them, and one that from now on will require collaboration in two different series - but hope exists, and Marishka and I can adapt to any scenario."
