New data released by the Ministry of Health over the weekend shows that there is an effectiveness of the booster vaccine - the booster - even at younger ages, 16 and up.
This is after previous data collected from Israel and also presented to the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA), focused on people aged 60 and over.
The data were collected and analyzed by the Weizmann Institute and the Ministry of Health.
It turned out that the booster cream protects against infection at all ages, especially among those aged 16 to 29. These were 17 times more protected against infection, compared to those who were not vaccinated with the third vaccine.
The researchers admit, however, that "it is still unclear why the protection at these ages is higher."
The researchers noted that protection from severe morbidity could not be calculated at younger ages because there were no severe patients at that age among booster recipients.
The side effects were similar.
Dr. Sharon Elrai-Price, Head of Public Health Services: "We saw that the morbidity rate began to rise in the group that was vaccinated with the second vaccine as part of the trial.
We are doing this alongside laboratory tests to lower the level of antibodies, and I hope we can set a standard for antibodies. "
