A huge black bear entered a Canadian family's home, walked around the nursery, and finally left without harming anyone.

Family members in the city of Fort McMurray, in the northeastern state of Alberta in Canada, this week discovered a giant black bear walking around their home and standing at a table in the children's bedroom.

"Suddenly we heard strange noises in the house," the father of the family, Shane Reddy, told the local radio station.

"My youngest son came and said he heard scratches. Later the father said: 'The noises continued and then my son came and said there was a bear in our hallway.

"Then the bear went into the bedroom and saw half a bowl of cornflakes on the table. We heard the bowl fall and crash to the floor."

With the help of one of the neighbors, Shane managed to imprison the black bear in the bedroom with the goal of getting him out the window.

Unfortunately, the window in the room was locked and there was no choice but to open the door even though there was a fear that the bear would continue to roam the house and destroy it.

After walking around the house, the giant bear who weighed 272 kg decided to go out into the yard without hurting anyone. He later walked around the neighborhood and arrived at Shane's mother's house.

Shane was asked why he and his family were not afraid of the giant wildlife and replied: "Before the winter hibernation the bears are very lazy and tired, so we were not particularly worried."

In any case, the local authorities of the Canadian state of Alberta have set a trap in the area to catch the bear if it returns to the neighborhood.
