A 14-year-old was seriously injured in a bicycle accident involving a deer. The boy was on the bike path of the federal road 82 near Schöningen (Helmstedt district) on Monday morning when the deer jumped out of the ditch and collided with the cyclist, the police said in Wolfsburg on Monday.

Schöningen - The boy fell and was badly injured.
He was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
The deer was so badly injured that police released it from its suffering.
