Anyone who is not vaccinated against the coronavirus but still wants to participate in social life will have to pay in future in order to comply with the 3G rules.
But there are exceptions.
District
- As of today, the free corona tests are over.
Unvaccinated people who still want to go to a restaurant, for example, have to pay for the proof themselves from now on.
Both the test station at Segmüller in Parsdorf and the station at the vaccination center in the district town will remain open.
That's what Liam Klages, head of the diagnostic center, says.
Over the weekend he still had to negotiate the exact prices for the chargeable tests with the laboratories: "I guess that it will settle at the usual market prices," he says of the existing offer.
For him, as confirmed by Klages on Sunday, it will be 15 euros for the rapid test and 60 euros for the PCR smear, which has to be evaluated in the laboratory.
The test center of the municipality of Markt Schwaben also charges 15 euros for rapid tests.
Test centers remain open
District office and diagnostic center agree that the test demand will drop significantly from next week.
According to Christiane Siegert, the District Office has carried out an average of 720 tests per day since August.
The diagnostic center counted around 9,000 tests in both facilities in September alone.
From next week, Klages estimates that it will only be 30 percent of it.
He suspects that the end of the free tests is a good motivation for vaccination: "If people notice that they need a test every day and have to pay for it themselves, it will probably be done quickly," he says.
Pharmacist prepares for trouble
From next week, Peter Hiebel from the Marien-Apotheke in Ebersberg will not only offer rapid tests for 15 euros but also PCR tests for 55 euros. He wasn't looking forward to Monday at all, you could hear that when you called EZ: “Who are people going to let out on their frustration at having to pay recently?” He asks - and fears that they already know the answer . Other pharmacies, such as the Eber pharmacy in Ebersberg, no longer offer tests at all. "We are already being littered with inquiries from people as to whether they belong to the exception of the exception," says Hiebel and sighs. The Ebersberg District Office updates a list of the test stations on its homepage.
There are exceptional cases for which the corona test remains free.
“And that's a lot of people,” said Christiane Siegert from the district office.
This includes, for example, children who are too young to be vaccinated, or “cold children”, pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Exceptions for certain groups
If a patient can prove by a doctor's certificate that he cannot be vaccinated, the costs do not apply to him, just like for students from abroad whose vaccine is not recognized in Germany and corona vaccine study participants.
Siegert further explains that testing will continue to be free of charge if a person is suspected to be affected by Corona.
With a positive self-test or if the doctor detects Covid symptoms in a patient, he will be sent as usual by the health department for testing.
The same applies to corona outbreaks in facilities such as schools or kindergartens until those affected have tested themselves again.
And there is another group: “Simply put, everyone who works, is treated or cared for in any care facility,” is how Siegert summarizes the catalog of exceptional cases.
The reason: "It simply makes a difference whether someone tests himself because he wants to go to the restaurant or whether the focus is on protecting the sick mother and the other residents."
The seven-day incidence
for the district of Ebersberg is 115.9 as of Sunday according to the RKI.
Furthermore, the rural communities in the southeast show the highest rates of infection in relation to the population.
Throughout Bavaria, the LGL reports the incidence on a weekly basis, broken down by vaccination status.
As of October 6, it was 22.8 (vaccinated) and 201.1 (unvaccinated).
