The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Quneitra Governorate, put the Martyr Nart Qardan School in service today in Al-Kiswah in the countryside of Damascus - a gathering of displaced people, at a cost of more than 225 million Syrian pounds.
Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, confirmed in a statement to reporters that the school's location was chosen because it is a densely populated area with a large number of students who were forced to work in other schools, indicating that work is underway to follow up on the reconstruction and rehabilitation of schools according to a well-studied plan in cooperation with international organizations.
In turn, the governor of Quneitra, Abdel Halim Khalil, explained that the school attracts the sons of Quneitra and the Damascus countryside, and that the participatory work with the Ministry of Education is continuing to rehabilitate more schools.
The school consists of 22 classrooms, including 18 classrooms, and a capacity of 600 male and female students who will join the school tomorrow to relieve the pressure of the second shift in the neighboring schools, according to what the Director of Education in Quneitra Governorate Imad Al-Assaad told SANA.
Al-Assaad pointed out that the school is fully furnished and equipped, and after putting it into service, the number of schools in the eastern region of the city of Al-Kiswah became 4 schools, first cycle, two second cycle schools, and one secondary school.
School Principal Farida Nakh indicated that the school will reduce the burden on students who were attending Nart Garden School in a second cycle in the evening by separating the first cycle from the second, with 600 students in the first and 622 in the second, pointing out that the school’s teaching and administrative staff are fully secured.
