An abandoned suitcase in front of the synagogue of the Dresden Jewish community led to a police operation on Monday afternoon.
Since a dangerous situation could not be ruled out, the area around the suitcase was cordoned off, as the police announced.
Specialists from the State Office of Criminal Investigation examined the piece of luggage.
A little later there was the all-clear:
Dresden - The suitcase was empty.
The officers are now trying to determine who the luggage belongs to and why it was left in front of the synagogue.
