In an accident on Monday morning on the B2 near Alling, enormous property damage occurred.
There were traffic jams in the morning rush hour.
Alling - On Monday at 7:20 a.m., a 23-year-old Audi driver and a 56-year-old Ford driver drove on Bundesstraße 2 from Fürstenfeldbruck in the direction of Germering.
The volume of traffic was great, and the traffic stalled at about the Alling exit.
The Audi driver noticed this too late, could no longer brake in time and drove her A3 into the Ford Kuga in front of her, as the police reported.
The rear of the Ford was dented and there was property damage of around 10,000 euros.
The front of the Audi was dented and there was property damage of at least 20,000 euros, which, according to the police, should correspond to an economic total loss.
Both vehicles were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed.
Removal takes up to two hours
Both parties were initially uninjured and did not need any medical care.
As is often the case with such accidents, it cannot be ruled out that in retrospect, when the initial excitement has dissipated, complaints will arise, said a spokesman for the responsible police in Germering.
"The victims of the accident were also a large number of commuters," says the police report.
It took about two hours until both vehicles were finally removed and the route was free again, resulting in significant obstructions in both directions and a long traffic jam.
