Peißenberg - It is now completely official: Regina Schropp is no longer a member of the district council.
She had announced in July that she wanted to resign from her mandate - the committee has now approved this at its meeting in the Peißenberger Tiefstollenhalle.
Schropp was most recently non-party.
But since she was elected to the district council for the AfD, her successor also comes from this party:
Katrin Neumayr was sworn in at the same meeting.
As a member of the Peißenberg market council, she already has experience in local politics.
Alexander Majaru (SPD) remains defiantly seated at the swearing-in
For the sake of form, the district council had to vote on their appointment.
Neumayr was Schropp's successor on the list and thus automatically the successor if someone leaves the AfD.
“It meets all the criteria,” explained District Administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiß.
Only one person still refused to accept the new district councilor: Alexander Majaru voted against Neumayr's appointment.
And when she was sworn in, the SPD district councilor was the only one in the hall who stayed defiantly, ate a roll and had a drink.
Now faction strength again
Neumayr's appointment affects not only the AfD - but also all committees.
After Schropp had turned away from the “Alternative for Germany” and became non-party, only two district councils remained for the party.
At that time, the AfD lost its parliamentary group status and with it all committee seats.
With Neumayr's entry into the district council, there are again three AfD councilors - so that the party again receives a seat in each of the environmental, district, social, school and finance committees.
In addition, like the other parliamentary groups, it provides a liaison to the district youth council.
The lot had to decide
The recalculation also resulted in changes for two bodies in which the AfD does not have seats.
Since, in purely mathematical terms, two parliamentary groups were entitled to the last place, the decision had to be made by lot.
The CSU / FDP / Bayernpartei parliamentary group lost out on the audit committee.
The seat is given to the Free Voters, for whom Robert Goldbrunner takes on the task.
The last place in the youth welfare committee was also awarded by lot.
Here the citizens were lucky for the district, the occupation remains the same.
The ÖDP came out empty-handed.
