In the round of 16 of the German Volleyball Cup, the German champions Berlin have to compete in volleys at TV Baden.
The club from near Bremen is currently ninth in the table in the 2nd Bundesliga, group north.
The team won the final of a cup qualification tournament in Westerstede, Lower Saxony against the second team of Bundesliga club TSV Giesen Grizzlys with just 2:
Berlin - 1 (25:18, 15:25, 17:15) through.
The cup round of 16 will take place on November 6th or 7th.
The final is planned for March 5th or 6th next year in Mannheim.
The BR Volleys had surprisingly failed in the quarter-finals of the cup last season.
Against the Brandenburg rival Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee they were eliminated in their own hall after a 2-0 lead with 2: 3.
