Berlin's CDU leader Kai Wegner has accused the SPD of "power games" in connection with the ongoing explorations for the formation of a government.
"I find it difficult if you now sound out on the one hand with the left and on the other hand with the FDP," Wegner told the "Tagesspiegel" (Monday).
"Both parties are completely opposite in terms of content, but are you exploring with both of them with an open mind?"
Berlin - The SPD is probably not about content.

And unfortunately not about what is good for Berliners and for our city. "
Wegner underlined that the SPD and CDU had worked out a lot in common in their bilateral exploratory talks.
“We were surprised that the SPD's election manifesto has a lot in common with ours,” he said.
“A lot would have been possible.
That is why we were in favor of a Germany coalition with the SPD and FDP. ”There has recently been a lot of dispute between the SPD and the Greens during the legislative period.
"I don't know how things should get better between the two parties now."

Almost two weeks after the House of Representatives election, the SPD state chairman and mayor-designate Franziska Giffey announced on Friday that her party now wants to sound out in two three-way formats: a meeting with the Greens and FDP is scheduled for Monday (1 p.m.), a meeting with the Greens and left for Tuesday.
Giffey had also made it clear that she had a preference for a traffic light coalition with the Greens and the FDP.
The Greens, on the other hand, consider a continuation of the previous three-party coalition with the SPD and the Left to be the better choice.
