In view of the heavy rain last Friday (9th) at school and after school, many students became "fucked". The Education Bureau today (11th) issued a document to parents mentioning school arrangements under inclement weather.

According to the article, the situation in some areas may be different from the overall situation in Hong Kong, and even emergencies should be dealt with flexibly according to the prevailing circumstances. It emphasizes that the Education Bureau notice stated that parents can decide whether to let their children go to school in accordance with the weather conditions. The weather, roads, slopes or traffic conditions are bad. To ensure the safety of their children, parents should allow them to stay at home.

For students who are affected by inclement weather or flooding and who are late or are absent from school on the day determined by their parents, the school will deal with them at its discretion and will not penalize them.

According to the bureau, regarding severe weather, including tropical cyclone warning signal No. 3 or above or red/black rainstorm warning signal, as well as other abnormal weather conditions, the Education Bureau has established a notification mechanism with the Observatory and has issued a notice to notify schools of encounters. Relevant arrangements should be adopted in severe weather such as tropical cyclones and continuous heavy rain.
