The Observatory predicts that from tomorrow night to early Wednesday, the wind in Hong Kong will increase further. Under the combined influence of the "compass" and the northeast monsoon, winds along the coast of South China will gradually increase in the next one or two days.

As the "compass" crosses the northern part of the South China Sea and approaches Hong Kong, the weather in Hong Kong will deteriorate later tomorrow (12th) and the wind will further strengthen. It is expected to be the closest to Hong Kong at the beginning of Wednesday (13th), about 400 south of Hong Kong. With a passing kilometer, the wind may reach gale force in some areas of Hong Kong, and there may be heavy rains and squally winds in wide areas.

At 8 p.m., Severe Tropical Storm Compasses gathered about 470 kilometers north of Manila and is expected to move westward at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, crossing the Luzon Strait.

The Macau Geophysical and Meteorological Bureau issued typhoon signal No. 1 at 8 pm, and it is expected to be maintained in the evening; the probability of issuing typhoon signal No. 3 from early morning to morning tomorrow is "high", and typhoon signal No. 8 is issued tomorrow night to early morning. The probability is "higher."

The bureau expects that the compasses will continue to strengthen from Tuesday to Wednesday, and quickly traverse the northern part of the South China Sea. Under the combined influence of the compass and the northeast monsoon, the weather in Macau will become unstable in the next two days. The wind will increase significantly and there will be thunderstorms. The maximum wind may reach level 8. Affected by the superimposed astronomical tide of storm surge, low-lying areas may appear in the next two days. About 0.5 meters flooded.
