Fewer murders and shootings in New York, but more robberies and assaults

A crime report from the NYPD reports that, compared to the violent summer of 2020, this year left less dire numbers. In September, murders were down 22% and shootings down 9.3% from the previous year. But New Yorkers don't necessarily feel more protected.
