Indicted for rape and sexual assault, Benjamin Mendy remains in prison.
The Manchester City defender, imprisoned since August 27, had made a new request for release on bail.
But according to the
Manchester Evening News
, Judge Patrick Thomson did not respond favorably to his request.
It is therefore the third time that the request for release on bail of the former OM player has been refused.
As a reminder, the 27-year-old is accused of rape by three young women over 16 years old.
He is also the subject of a fourth complaint for sexual assault.

His trial is scheduled for the end of January
This refusal of release on bail was served by judge Patrick Thompson at the end of a hearing in camera at the court of Chester (North West of England).
Benjamin Mendy was not present on the scene this Monday morning.
The French international (10 selections) will therefore have to wait in detention.
A tentative trial date has been set for January 24, 2022, if however the player pleads not guilty.
This trial could last between two and three weeks.
Before that, a preliminary hearing, set for November 15, will allow him to plead guilty or not guilty, in the hope of obtaining parole.
At the same time, Louis Saha Mattuie, the second man indicted in the context of this investigation and suspected of four rapes, also remains in prison.
