The lobby for the promotion of the Avraham agreements was launched today (Monday) in the Knesset in the presence of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
MKs Ophir Akunis (Likud) and Ruth Wasserman Landa (blue and white) will head the lobby, which opened about a year after the signing of the normalization agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, to which Sudan later joined.
Kushner served as a senior adviser to former United States President Donald Trump at the time of the signing of the agreements and took a significant part in talks between Israel, the Emirates and Bahrain.
"You are young, but you have already made history, and you have already changed history," Lapid told Kushner and his wife, the daughter of former US President Donald Trump.
"History will not forget you and the people of Israel will not forget you."

Lapid went on to say that "the new government in Israel accepted and embraced the Abrahamic Agreements and took them forward as a lever of a new reality, economic, strategic and security. Within four months we turned the cold peace with Egypt and Jordan into a warm peace of states and cooperation." He added: "I call on the Palestinians and citizens of every Arab nation that listens to us, we turn to peace."
The Secretary of State will take off tonight for a visit to Washington, during which he will attend a tripartite meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and United States Secretary of State Abdullah Ben-Zayed.
