A fire in an apartment building in Kölleda (Sömmerda district) caused property damage of 100,000 euros.
A 59-year-old resident was slightly injured on Monday night, but was hospitalized due to a previous illness, the police said.
The fire broke out in the basement of the house late on Sunday evening.
Kölleda - The heavy smoke startled several residents and also moved into a neighboring entrance.
Several people were brought out of the house by the fire brigade using turntable ladders and smoke masks.
The fire was completely extinguished and all residents of the house were relocated.
The house is initially uninhabitable because of the heavy smoke development.
The criminal police are now investigating the exact cause of the fire.
