An honest finder gave the Kochel police a wallet at around 8 a.m. on Sunday.
For the owner, however, there was a rude awakening a little later.
Kochel am See - The woman had found the bag, in which there was a low three-digit amount of money, shortly before on Sunday in front of a car that had been parked next to a bank in the center of Kochel am See.
A nasty surprise awaits the loser
Based on an assumption made by the witness, the Kochler police were able to identify and contact the alleged loser, a 22-year-old from Weilheim.
After it was established that he had actually lost the wallet, the man got an unpleasant surprise.
Because the honest finder was obviously not the first to discover the bag.
Unknown stole a low four-digit amount from his pocket
Originally there was a lot more money in the pocket that the Weilheimer had withdrawn from the bank for a purchase shortly before.

Police initiate criminal proceedings and look for witnesses
A criminal case was initiated against unknown persons for misappropriation.
The police also asked for relevant information from possible witnesses to the incident.
