The tourism industry in North Rhine-Westphalia also lagged significantly behind the number of overnight stays in the pre-Corona period in July.
The accommodation companies counted around 3.5 million overnight stays, as the State Statistical Office announced on Thursday.
That was 10 percent more than in July of last year.

There is only one registration at the Krefeld citizens' associations - and a good double-digit number of rejections or associations have not prepared any trains at all, says Grünwald.
