Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev considered that there is no point in talking with the current authorities in Ukraine.
Medvedev said in an article published today in Kommersant newspaper under the title Why contacts with the current Ukrainian leadership seem useless, building relations with the current authorities in Kiev is counterproductive and brings great harm.
Medvedev pointed out that the current President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, spoke Russian throughout his life and worked in Russia for a long time, but after taking power, he completely changed his political and moral orientation and began serving the rabid nationalist forces in Ukraine.
He stressed the need to wait for the emergence of a "sane leadership" in Ukraine that does not seek comprehensive confrontation with Russia, but rather build equal and mutually beneficial relations.
