The chairman of the Meretz faction, MK Michal Rosin, said today (Monday) that Colette Avital's claims that Shimon Peres sexually harassed her do not erase his "right positions" and his contribution to Israel.

In an interview with 103FM, she was asked if the party would boycott the memorial service for the former president and prime minister, and made it clear that they would not do so, even if Avital's testimony casts a shadow over his legacy.

"I think we are definitely not snoring, certainly not," she said of the memorial service.

"It does deeply hurt my memory, but it is impossible to forget everything he did for the State of Israel, his right positions and his vision. We do not erase everything."
