The federal police in Rostock are concerned with a puzzling picture find.
As a police spokesman said on Monday, 16 paintings were found in a locker at the Rostock-Warnemünde train station, the origin of which is unclear.
A train employee had emptied the locker on Sunday, which had been occupied since October 6th and had clearly exceeded its usage time.
Rostock - The pictures are still lifes, ship paintings and a religious motif with dimensions of 85 by 54 centimeters or 70 by 50 centimeters and smaller.
It is still unclear what kind of art pictures - such as watercolors, oil paintings or prints - are actually involved.
A blue sack with items of clothing was also found in the locker.
It can not be ruled out that the pictures come from a theft.
