Nuremberg - On Saturday afternoon (October 9th), officers of the border police inspection at Nuremberg Airport * noticed a man who was wanted by an arrest warrant.
At around 11.50 a.m., a witness reported to the officers at the airport, according to the Central Franconian Police Headquarters *, that a man packed an unusually high number of flyers at an information booth.
When the police checked the 55-year-old, they found that he was wanted on an arrest warrant.
Nuremberg: 55-year-old prefers imprisonment instead of paying money
The man could have averted the prison sentence by paying a low four-figure sum.
Although he could have raised the money, he decided to stay in prison for several months.
In the afternoon, the officials handed over the 55-year-old to the correctional facility.
