A female police officer was accused of stealing cash coupons worth about 2,400 yuan and two USB storage devices at a clubhouse on Jockey Club Road in Sheung Shui on December 21 the previous year (2019).
After the Tai Po Police District Crime Squad took over the investigation, three days later (December 24) at noon, the 46-year-old policewoman surnamed Chen was arrested on suspicion of theft in Sheung Shui District.
The policewoman involved in the case was suspended. After investigating and consulting the Department of Justice, the police decided to charge her with two offences of theft. The case will appear in Fanling Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (12th) morning.
According to the police, the police force attaches great importance to the conduct of its personnel.
