Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's Interior Minister Torsten Renz (CDU) has recognized the recent success of the investigation in the fight against investment fraud as a positive example of international police cooperation.
"Here we have hit a hard blow against organized crime across borders," said Renz on Monday in Schwerin.
Eurojust, Europol and other partners are involved in the process.

"We must resolutely counter this worrying trend with highly qualified specialist investigators and high-tech equipment," emphasized the minister.
An international group of investigators published the first information on the large-scale operation in several countries on Sunday.
In Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Cyprus, several objects were searched on Wednesday on suspicion of commercial and gang fraud and witnesses were heard.
