Sagosen departure fears: "probability is dwindling"

The German handball master THW Kiel fears the departure of his top star Sander Sagosen, who was only signed up a year ago.

The 26-year-old Norwegian apparently has the option to return to his home club Kolstad Handball, which wants to build the best team in the country with an ambitious project.

Kiel - "The probability dwindles from day to day, where he does not accept our offer," said THW managing director Viktor Szilagy in an interview with Sky.

Sagosen is apparently "under great pressure" because the Kolstad handball project will stand and fall with its return.

"He's a young player and now he has to decide for himself and his future where he is best placed and where he wants to go," said Szilagy.

Handball record champion THW Kiel has booked a success at the beginning of the Champions League.

On Wednesday the Kiel won their first group game against the Belarusian champions HC Brest with 33:30 (18:15).

Niclas Ekberg was the best thrower of the "Zebras" with eleven goals.

A trio was successful six times each for the hosts.
