On Monday evening, after recalculating the election results, a surprise emerged: Beate Walter-Rosenheimer, who narrowly failed to win re-election, is likely to move back into the Bundestag.

Fürstenfeldbruck - Beate Walter-Rosenheimer (Greens) from the constituency of Bruck-Dachau has been in the Bundestag for several legislative periods. This time she came in at number 19 on the state list. That wasn't particularly promising, but not without the prospect of re-election. After the election to the Bundestag in 2021, it now seemed as if Beate Walter-Rosenheimer had just missed the re-entry. To put it simply, it was about two votes.

However, recalculations have now shown that the result is enough to move back in, reported several Green politicians on Monday evening. This is because the Greens were awarded fewer seats in another federal state than initially thought. In short: a place of the Greens is moving from NRW to Bavaria.

The Bruck Greens want to wait until the official result is available, as Jan Halbauer (Green FFB) said in the evening when asked.

It is a crime thriller - and of course you would be very happy if it still worked out.

According to Tagblatt-Info, Bundestag Vice President Claudia Roth has already congratulated Beate Walter-Rosenheimer on her return.

Walter-Rosenheimer had already vacated her Berlin office.
