Six people were injured in a fire in a semi-detached house in Bad Nauheim (Wetteraukreis). The fire broke out on Sunday evening for an initially unexplained cause on the ground floor and spread from there to the upper floors, as the police announced on Monday. A family with father, mother, two children aged six and twelve and a dog were saved from the roof of the house by the fire brigade with the turntable ladder.
Bad Nauheim - A 36 year old man jumped out of the house from a height of several meters and was seriously injured.
According to the police, he lived on the first floor and seriously injured his back when he jumped five meters below the surface.
In addition to the five residents, the ambulance service also brought a 36-year-old passer-by who wanted to help and probably suffered smoke inhalation, according to a police spokesman.
The police estimate the property damage in the high six-digit range.
The house is no longer habitable.
